Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead and inspire our sales team while driving revenue growth for the hotel.  This role demands a progressive professional with a proven track record in sales, customer service, and account management, capable of analyzing market trends and developing effective sales strategies.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating strong client relationships, motivating a high-performing sales team, and achieving budgeted top-line revenue and RevPAR through innovative revenue management strategies.

As the Director of Sales, you will oversee the sales operation, create and implement sales plans, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the hotel's objectives are met in a competitive marketplace.  You will be a key driver of our hotel's success, ensuring exceptional leadership while continuously striving for excellence and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
• Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to drive top-line revenue and RevPAR.
• Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients to generate new business opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain competitiveness.
• Collaborate with hotel management to ensure alignment between sales and operational goals.
• Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports, analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Background and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of sales, revenue management, supervision, training and motivation of managers.
• Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
• Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers and staff in all situations.  Able to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences.
• Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to speak and hear in English. Close and distance vision. Frequent sitting with some walking and standing. Frequently lifts/carries up to 10 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Able to work overtime and irregular hours

Working Conditions:

• Continually works in normal office conditions and in close proximity to others.

Qualifications

Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.

Experience - Minimum 5 years sales leadership experience in a similar sized operation preferred
