Key Responsibilities

Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of the café associates to ensure prompt and courteous service to guests.

Inspects café serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving.

Prepare and serve specialty coffee and espresso beverages according to established recipes and brand standards

Open and close the coffee shop on schedule, ensuring proper setup for daily operations and adherence to closing procedures

Accurately process all transactions using the Micros POS system, following cash-handling and accounting procedures .

Model and enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and service standards

Support team members on shift and assist with training or guidance as needed

Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Skills

Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Deal with problems involving several variables.
Ability to balance cash drawer and exercise math and basic accounting skills.
Read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.
Write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.
Speak with poise, voice control, and confidence, using correct English and well-modulated voice.
Transcribing, entering, or posting data; talking with and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information, including giving assignments and or directions to helpers or assistants.

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak and hear in English.
Close and distance vision.
Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent education required.

Experience

One year experience as a Barista. One year in a supervisory or lead role.

Licenses/Certifications

Food Safety Certification
