Description
Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for all aspects of the human resources function related to all Dimension Development affiliated businesses. VPHR reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is based in the Corporate Office. The ideal candidate for this position will be a generalist and have experience in all aspects of HR: Training and Development, Compensation, Benefits, Transitions, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and HR Systems and Implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for the Human Resources function for all DDC related businesses approximately 4,000 + employees
- Acts as Corporate/Home Office HRD
- Implements CARE Culture
- Ensure all DDC affiliated companies comply with state and federal laws as well as regulations and court rulings which pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices, implementing new procedures and any new requirements.
- Negotiate labor contracts unionized properties ensuring favorable results for the company
- Maintain company benefit and compensation programs
- Direct and oversee all training and development initiatives for all employees
- Interview senior level candidates for positions throughout the company
- Interview prospective candidates for corporate office positions
- Responsible for all employee relations matters
- Conduct employee relations investigations where needed and works closely with 3rd party
- Work closely with Labor and Employment attorneys’ to ensure best practices are utilized
- Provide advice and feedback to Partners and Executive Vice Presidents of Operations’ on a daily and/or weekly basis
- Create and develop best in class training and development programs to ensure overall employee retention
- Oversee and participate in due diligence and transition process for new or prospective hotels and companies
The VPHR may from time to time be asked to perform other detailed functions that have not been addressed here that are reasonable and within the scope of his/her job.
Qualifications
The ideal Vice President of Human Resourcescandidate will bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company:
- Minimum of 12 years in Human Resources field required
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience required
- Thrives in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Knowledge of Federal & State laws pertaining to HR
- Strong employee relations experience
- Hospitality experience required
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Strong analytical, problem solving & organization skills
- Ability to multitask in demanding environment
- Microsoft Office skills required
