The Role

As our Area Chief Engineer, you’ll oversee the engineering and maintenance operations across multiple hotel properties (Courtyard Santa Clarita, Fairfield Inn Santa Clarita, Hampton Inn Santa Clarita, Residence Inn Santa Clarita, Homewood Suites Agoura Hills). You’ll set standards, coach teams, and ensure every property is safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance—while partnering closely with property leadership to support guest satisfaction and financial goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee engineering operations across multiple hotels within the area
• Ensure preventative maintenance programs are executed consistently
• Lead, coach, and develop property-level engineering teams
• Maintain compliance with safety, fire life, and regulatory standards
• Manage capital projects, renovations, and major repairs
• Control maintenance budgets, utilities, and cost-efficiency initiatives
• Partner with GMs and corporate teams to protect physical assets
• Be present—on-site, in the field, and hands-on when needed

What Makes You You

• Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or Area/Regional Engineer in hotels
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
• A proactive, solutions-oriented leadership style
• Ability to manage multiple properties and prioritize effectively
• Calm under pressure with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Pride in safety, compliance, and well-maintained facilities
• Flexible to work any shifts including holidays and weekends
